About the position

Join us as a Senior Product Analyst to leverage your expertise in the insurance industry and contribute to the growth of our Accident and Health (A&H) division. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing and designing new and enhanced product forms for the US A&H team. Your work will involve close collaboration with various key partners, including Underwriting, Sales Directors, Claims, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, to ensure that our strategic initiatives are met and that we achieve long-term profit growth. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will draft language for both generic and state-specific product policy forms for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. This includes preparing necessary forms for approval and sign-off from management and relevant business teams. You will also review proposed insurance policies, endorsements, rates, and rules, assisting business units with filing strategies and identifying areas of deficiency. Your responsibilities will extend to developing policy wording for new coverages, whether for entirely new policy forms or amendments to existing ones. You will create various form types, including policies, certificates, riders, endorsements, and filing letters that explain product scope and variations. Additionally, you will partner with the state filing department and other stakeholders to address comments and objections from state insurance examiners, ensuring that all responses are professional and compliant with state statutes and regulations. In this role, you will also provide product support to Underwriting, Marketing, and training teams, monitor filing statuses to meet established metrics, and review marketing materials for compliance with advertising regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing proposed product change requests and providing guidance to the Canadian team on product development best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Draft language for generic and state-specific product policy forms for assigned projects.
  • Review proposed insurance policies, endorsements, rates, and rules, assisting business units with filing strategies.
  • Develop policy wording for new coverages, whether for new policy forms or amendments to existing forms.
  • Create various form types including policies, certificates, riders, endorsements, and filing letters.
  • Partner with state filing department, legal, compliance, product, underwriting, and actuaries to address comments from state insurance examiners.
  • Review objections and develop responses to comments from state insurance departments.
  • Provide expertise in analyzing proposed product change requests and defining options to support requested changes.
  • Provide product support to Underwriting, Marketing, and training teams regarding policy forms.
  • Monitor and track filing statuses to ensure established metrics are met.
  • Review marketing material for product content to ensure compliance with advertising regulations.

Requirements

  • University degree or higher and/or experience in Accident and Health business.
