About the position

The HR Director, Corporate is responsible for developing and delivering key human resources outcomes for global corporate functions within ACCO Brands. This role involves leading HR programs and initiatives across various departments, including Finance, IT, Legal, and Human Resources, while acting as a strategic partner and change agent within the senior management team. The HR Director also oversees the North America Payroll and Talent Acquisition teams and ensures compliance with hiring programs and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement effective HR programs that support the strategic People Plan.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ACCO Brands employment brand to improve the Employee Experience.
  • Provide creative HR solutions to real-time business issues and manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Lead workforce planning to analyze and forecast talent supply and demand, and design talent management interventions.
  • Educate and coach managers on performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Provide HR expertise in feedback, employee relations, recognition, and organizational development.
  • Ensure accuracy of HR data and analyze employee data to guide decision making.
  • Provide leadership in partnership with Talent Centers of Excellence to build critical capabilities and career pathing strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct confidential investigations as needed.
  • Direct the Talent Acquisition team in North America and manage recruiting capabilities during demand surges.
  • Ensure effective vendor relationships for payroll and talent acquisition support providers.
  • Partner with finance to deliver the budget and ensure financials are calculated accurately.
  • Monitor trends and regulations to ensure compliance of payroll and talent acquisition programs.
  • Develop and report key performance measures related to talent acquisition and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or General Business.
  • 12+ years of experience in HR (minimum 8 years experience).
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including mentoring and management of direct reports.
  • Ability to establish strategic direction and drive execution.
  • Experience managing in a matrix structure with strong influence skills.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational effectiveness through knowledge of people-related processes.
  • Ability to evaluate and incorporate people data into decision-making processes.
  • Strong sense of urgency and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
