About the position

As an Account & Operations Manager within Expedia Group's Global InsurTech team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the traveler journey by managing and optimizing partnerships with leading travel insurance supply partners. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering innovative products and solutions that align with our mission of providing 'Peace of Mind to Every Traveler, Everywhere.' Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that these supply partnerships are fully supported operationally, which includes building and maintaining positive relationships at all levels with our insurance supply partners. In this role, you will be tasked with financial reconciliation of booking data, outstanding payments, and financial results to identify discrepancies or errors. You will validate supplier invoices using internal financial tools and booking data, and develop systems and processes to improve operational efficiency. Investigating operational anomalies and collaborating with internal teams such as accounting, finance, and APRecon will be essential to address and resolve reconciliation issues. You will also be responsible for setting up new supplier entities and payment systems, driving performance with supply partners to achieve P&L targets, and monitoring key metrics for each partner, including NPS, attach rate, and profitability. Your role will require you to organize transparent and effective business reviews, including weekly supplier calls and executive committee meetings, while also working closely with customer service to address escalations. You will need to stay updated on key industry developments and perform necessary research to support your initiatives. This position demands strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive broader business issues or initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance supply partners.
  • Support partnerships operationally and ensure full operational support.

  • Stay updated on industry developments and perform necessary research.

Requirements

  • Over 6 years of relevant work experience in travel consumer, insurtech, fintech, or insurance environments.
  • Experience in account management, operations, program management, or consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage ambiguity.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial tools and booking data validation.
