About the position

The Account Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for developing and managing relationships with agents and dealers in the auto finance industry. This role focuses on expanding product offerings, increasing revenue opportunities, and providing training and support to enhance sales and product penetration at the dealership level. The ADM collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective service delivery and to identify areas for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing agent onboarding processes, providing necessary training and development of SVP ancillary products and services.
  • Work closely with Foundation BDMs on new and existing agents, reviewing pipeline opportunities and new business acquisitions via the agent channel.
  • Anticipate future requirements and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling SVP products to increase customer loyalty and retention.
  • Understand multiple agencies and product channels to train at the dealer level on corresponding F&I offerings.
  • Assist agents and dealers with operational tasks and business needs, including dealer login resets and product information requests.
  • Conduct daily and weekly collaboration check-ins with agents for proactive partnerships, including in-person field visits and virtual training.
  • Provide new store installs of designated programs and support services to agents and dealers.
  • Negotiate and secure top menu shelf space for SVP products at agent and dealer levels.
  • Deliver agent cross-region training on SVP products and services.
  • Develop high-level relationships with dealership executive management teams for business planning and goal setting.
  • Provide performance metrics to identify opportunities for agents and dealers.
  • Conduct agent and dealer meetings to report activity and recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with internal corporate colleagues to ensure high service delivery and address potential issues.
  • Stay abreast of industry knowledge to increase the perceived value of the company and its services.
  • Monitor and communicate competitive information including pricing and market strategies.
  • Manage travel and expenses according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain sales and service activity in Salesforce and achieve individual sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Account Management or Business Development in the Auto Finance Industry.
  • In-depth understanding of the auto finance, lending, or service business.
  • Experience delivering effective training and service support to dealership personnel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across dealership management and within the company.
  • Ability to prioritize time, effort, and resources effectively.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or a CRM tool.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the auto industry beyond finance.
  • Familiarity with various TPA menu portals.
