About the position

The position at Geiger involves delivering solutions to assigned accounts while supporting corporate sales and distribution strategies. The role focuses on penetrating new accounts and increasing market share by selling Geiger/HMI products and services. It requires building relationships with clients, particularly in the Architecture and Design (A&D) community, and managing major projects to ensure successful product application and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Geiger/HMI solutions to assigned accounts profitably.
  • Build account share within existing Geiger/HMI clients and penetrate subsidiaries and divisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the A&D community.
  • Assure product applications meet performance capabilities in collaboration with customer planners.
  • Establish productive relationships with customer decision-makers using consultative selling skills.
  • Manage major projects, including formulating purchase strategies and coordinating resources.
  • Negotiate and establish contractual agreements with clients as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to achieve sales and service volume targets.
  • Proactively maintain a personal network of allies to support sales efforts and demonstrate design capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of successful contract or capital goods selling experience.
  • High level of presentation and consultative selling skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to present a professional image and gain confidence from customers.
  • Assertive, self-confident, and a self-starter with team contribution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • High energy, sense of urgency, and tenacity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to develop short- and long-term business relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and a desire to learn.
  • Thorough knowledge of Geiger/HMI products and services.
  • Demonstrated prospecting, qualifying, networking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • High standard of performance and results-oriented mindset.
