About the position

The Account Director for the Paid Media Growth Marketing Team is responsible for leading and managing high-performing teams to drive client growth and retention. This role requires a deep understanding of clients' businesses and the ability to orchestrate multi-discipline collaboration for effective campaign execution. The Account Director will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met while also mentoring team members and fostering their professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the holistic business for each client in the portfolio, including insights on competitors and performance priorities.
  • Orchestrate multi-discipline collaboration for flawless execution of full-funnel, cross-channel campaign strategy.
  • Manage client expectations and set teams up for shared success as the holistic account leader.
  • Develop a deep working knowledge of various social media platforms and Growth Services to meet client business goals.
  • Stay updated on agency information to adopt best practices and testing recommendations.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for clients, coaching teams on processes and next steps to mitigate issues.
  • Manage all major deliverables and presentations for the client portfolio, ensuring high-quality strategy delivery.
  • Oversee successful onboarding of new clients, ensuring initial strategy and performance are set for success.
  • Scale layers of management and establish career pathing for team members.
  • Identify succession plans and cultivate talent development for upward mobility.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years' paid social experience and at least 3 years in a client-facing marketing role.
  • Cross-channel expertise in paid search and programmatic advertising is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports and mentoring them into senior roles.
  • Deep understanding of Meta Ads Manager and ability to communicate paid social goals effectively.
  • Ability to audit accounts and present actionable insights to clients.
  • Experience providing feedback and strategic guidance across all paid media channels.
  • Ability to discuss growth strategy, SEO, CRO, and analytics with marketing managers and C-Level executives.
  • Experience acting as an escalation point for clients and proposing service improvements.
