About the position

The Account Executive at Vistar is responsible for managing a customer and geographical sales territory, ensuring that customer needs are met while achieving budgeted sales and gross profit objectives. This role involves prospecting for new business, building trust with customers, and effectively managing the sales territory through strategic planning and regular communication. The position requires collaboration with various teams and the use of company resources to meet key initiatives and performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Manage a customer and geographical sales territory to meet customer needs and achieve sales objectives.
• Prospect for new business and customers using effective sales techniques.
• Build trust and credibility with customers by addressing their distribution and product needs.
• Develop customer-specific strategies based on account potential and size.
• Utilize marketing and presentation materials effectively to support customer business strategies.
• Communicate with local brokers and manufacturer representatives to uncover sales opportunities.
• Follow through on commitments in a timely manner and advocate solutions that promote customer business strategies.
• Develop bids and menus for products to support customer strategies.
• Communicate customer issues and needs to the distribution center customer service team regularly.
• Utilize Vistar's information system and CRM to enhance customer relationships and provide valuable recommendations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 2 - 4 Years Foodservice or vending sales experience

• Bachelors
• 4 - 6 Years Foodservice or vending sales experience
