Responsibilities

  • Manage a customer and geographical sales territory to meet customer needs and achieve sales objectives.
  • Prospect for new business and customers using effective sales techniques.
  • Build trust and credibility with customers by addressing their distribution and product needs.
  • Develop customer-specific strategies based on account potential and size.
  • Utilize marketing materials and sales support tools effectively.
  • Communicate with local brokers and manufacturer representatives to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Follow through on commitments in a timely manner.
  • Match customer needs with Vistar's service features and benefits.
  • Develop bids and menus for products to support customer strategies.
  • Communicate customer issues and needs to the distribution center customer service team regularly.
  • Utilize Vistar's information system and CRM to enhance customer relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 2 - 4 Years Foodservice or vending sales experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors
  • 4 - 6 Years Foodservice or vending sales experience
