About the position

The Sales Representative for Comcast High Capacity Ethernet Networks is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies targeting Government, Education, and Medical institutions, as well as complex enterprise customers. This role involves creating and delivering sales presentations, managing client relationships, and driving sales growth through strategic partnerships and lead generation activities. The position requires a strong understanding of Comcast's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape in the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver face-to-face sales presentations to strategic prospective clients.
  • Exceed departmental financial and unit targets through effective selling.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape and emerging technologies.
  • Develop sales territory strategies, including identifying partnerships and planning territory development.
  • Research and generate new leads through prospecting activities such as cold calling and customer referrals.
  • Promote and position the Comcast brand within the territory.
  • Retain customer base by ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Maintain and build customer relationships to drive retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and prepare required sales and activity reports.
  • Attend out-of-office meetings with customers and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in sales or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Comcast products and services.
  • Strong skills in deal closing, direct selling, lead generation, and negotiation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Network Design and MAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with Voice Network Technologies including VoIP.
  • Understanding of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts.
