About the position

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and marketing efforts within a designated territory, focusing on increasing revenue and margin for assigned therapies. This role involves creating and implementing a territory sales plan, managing the sales process, and building relationships with key decision-makers in health systems to foster new business growth for Option Care Health.

Responsibilities

  • Researches, develops and implements sales strategies for assigned territory.
  • Presents partnership opportunities to health system leaders, decision makers and referral sources to drive new business growth for Option Care.
  • Quantifies value of partnership and financial/economic terms to decision makers.
  • Prioritizes accounts based on total potential, current referrals, likely profitability, service needs, and probability of success.
  • Uses available information to understand customer needs and identify opportunities.
  • Creates and updates short-and long-term account plans and objectives; utilizes to guide actions.
  • Tracks activity and process toward objectives.
  • Communicates sales strategies to key internal partners, including soliciting input and feedback on proposed strategies.
  • Manages multiple internal and external relationships to ensure customers are set up to succeed.
  • Identifies key customer decision makers and builds relationships to gain access to all decision makers.
  • Assesses and documents the competitive landscape within the account.
  • Partners with internal team members to grow relationships and sales with health system leaders.
  • Conveys and reinforces elements of the value proposition appropriate for each account and decision maker.
  • Adjusts messaging based on customer relationship life-cycle.
  • Obtains a complete understanding of customer needs before offering a solution.
  • Leverages resources within the organization to assist in addressing customer issues.
  • Manages time and schedule to prioritize business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of sales experience; pharmaceutical or healthcare sales preferred.
  • OR High school diploma and at least 5 years of sales experience; pharmaceutical or healthcare sales preferred.
  • Experience applying Sales and Marketing principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services.
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting sales data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Clinical bachelor's degree.
