About the position

The Senior Account Executive for the Department of the Air Force at Salesforce is responsible for expanding the customer base within the Department of Defense. This role focuses on acquiring new accounts and generating business from existing ones, leveraging unique skills in opportunity management and solution selling to address customer business problems and drive successful contract execution.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new accounts within the Department of the Air Force.
  • Generate new business from existing accounts.
  • Assess customer business problems and propose solutions.
  • Lead and empower a matrix team of sales support roles to execute sales strategies.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets in the Department of Defense sector.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets in previous roles.
  • Experience in sales to the Department of the Air Force or other DoD agencies.
  • Expert knowledge of the Department of Defense acquisition process.
  • Strong skills in opportunity management and solution selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social, mobile, cloud, and analytics technologies in a sales context.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
