About the position

The Account Executive at Dodge Construction Network is responsible for driving new logo sales of the full Dodge product suite to small and midsize businesses (SMB) in the commercial construction industry. This role focuses on new business development, revenue generation, and targeted growth, requiring the executive to build and manage a pipeline of SMB opportunities from prospect to close. The position is remote and requires travel for face-to-face meetings with prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Build and establish a pipeline of new local SMB prospects to close new sales opportunities and meet sales quotas.
  • Pursue sales leads within assigned geographic territory.
  • Gain understanding of specialized products, services, and markets.
  • Identify key decision makers and engage with them to introduce Dodge products and services.
  • Perform continued follow-up activities and manage the sales pipeline to close new business.
  • Partner with Senior Sales personnel to build contacts and identify sales opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and engage with prospects through various communication methods to close sales.
  • Complete daily KPI expectations for prospecting and follow-up activities.
  • Update prospecting pipeline in real time, managing stage progression and deal value.
  • Accurately forecast and maintain pipeline in CRM, Salesforce.com.
  • Send proposals and process contracts through company systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably in SaaS/technology-related products or services.
  • Superior personal integrity and ownership of outcomes with a coachable mindset.
  • Well-versed in solution-based selling and relationship building.
  • Ability to coach prospects on best practices and uncover pain points.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with active listening abilities.
  • Ability to effectively present information to large groups, including internal stakeholders and prospects.
  • Proven ability to understand vague instructions and react favorably in various work situations.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and understanding of CRM and order management functionality.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics for effective prospecting.
