About the position

The Account Executive for Commercial Lines at AssuredPartners is responsible for delivering exceptional risk management solutions to clients while managing their insurance programs. This role involves collaborating with the sales team, leading client meetings, and providing comprehensive support to ensure client satisfaction and retention. The position offers opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and career advancement within a rapidly growing insurance brokerage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings with clients, including meetings at client locations.
  • Provide comprehensive client support and act as the main client contact for a book of business.
  • Manage difficult client communications including loss of coverage, claim denials, and unfavorable underwriting scenarios.
  • Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate.
  • Design insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned by Agency management.
  • Own all audit, review, and claims processes for assigned book of business.
  • Analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with insurance carrier personnel.
  • Proficiently manage underwriting relationships and practices.
  • Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the service team.
  • Mentor or direct the work of junior team members including Account Coordinators and Account Managers.
  • Facilitate collaboration with the account team on the agency's renewal strategy.
  • Provide clients with Insurance Coverage Reviews and identify gaps in coverage.
  • Work with producers to write new business and conduct book reviews for risk assessments.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of related commercial lines experience.
  • Current Property and Casualty license required; professional designations preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of available commercial lines coverages based on business classification.
  • Informed on industry trends and client retention strategies.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and solution-design skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills.
  • Mentoring and guidance of junior employees.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Skilled in agency management software with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
