About the position

The Account Executive for Commercial Lines at HUB International is responsible for managing a significant book of business, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving account retention. This role involves proactive consultation, insurance program design, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients. The Account Executive will also mentor junior staff and participate in community and industry engagements to enhance HUB's presence and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a book of business valued at over $750,000.
  • Mentor and manage a team of Associate Account Managers and Account Managers.
  • Lead the HUB client team and integrate resources to execute HUB's value proposition.
  • Generate organic growth through new accounts and cross-selling existing accounts.
  • Develop expertise in specific industries relevant to clients and participate in industry best practices.
  • Deliver timely client services using the HUB Commercial Lines Service Platform.
  • Conduct exposure reviews on all accounts generating over $5,000 in revenue.
  • Build strong relationships with two carriers in relevant expertise and lead the development of underwriting stories for accounts.
  • Assess competitive markets and create marketing strategies with the team.
  • Review contracts for insurance requirements and explain exposures to clients as necessary.
  • Maintain at least one professional designation and work towards obtaining a LIC designation.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, monthly sales training, and organization-wide development meetings.
  • Notify the manager of any revenue loss greater than $1,000.
  • Represent HUB in the community and the insurance industry by participating in at least one association.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • 5-7+ years in a Commercial Lines role on the agency side.
  • Experience managing a book of business valued at $750K or more.
  • Experience working with middle market accounts averaging $15K in revenue and above.
  • Experience presenting to C-Suite clients.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • P&C License.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
