About the position

The Account Executive for the Commercial West team at Salesforce is responsible for driving sales and building relationships with mid-sized organizations, specifically those with 1,000 to 10,000 employees. This role involves understanding customer needs, creating demand for Salesforce solutions, and influencing decision-making at the C-suite level. Responsibilities

  • Sell the entire Customer 360 Platform or specific cloud solutions to Salesforce customers.
  • Understand business operations and priorities that influence C-level decisions.
  • Create demand by identifying business problems and aligning them with Salesforce solutions.
  • Map business initiatives and pain points to Salesforce offerings across multiple lines of business.
  • Build credibility and trust to influence buying decisions.
  • Focus on selling value and return on investment rather than just technical functionality.
  • Generate sales pipeline leading to closed revenue and quota attainment.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to enhance value and expertise for customers.

Requirements

  • 5-15 years of full cycle sales experience, with at least 3 years in the field.
  • Experience managing a list of 2-20 accounts or 50-200 accounts, focusing on existing customers.
  • Proven experience selling to C-suite executives.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to customers.
  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
