About the position

Salem Media Oxnard is seeking a highly motivated and digitally-savvy Media Strategist to join our dynamic sales and marketing team. The Media Strategist will primarily focus on the Oxnard area but will also engage with clients on a national level. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that meet the unique needs of our clients, ensuring that their advertising objectives are not only met but exceeded. As a Media Strategist, you will be tasked with prospecting for qualified local and regional businesses. This involves reaching out to decision-makers, setting meetings, and conducting thorough analyses of client needs. You will create and deliver compelling advertising presentations that strategically address client objectives. Your ability to accurately project revenues and meet or exceed monthly budgets across all product lines will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will be expected to overachieve on annual budgets, demonstrating your commitment to driving results and contributing to the overall success of the team. To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals in the digital media landscape. Proficiency in prospecting, client needs discovery, marketing plan creation, presenting, and closing deals is essential. A thorough knowledge of digital products and applications, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management and Marketing, Digital Display Advertising, Website Development, Live Chat, Email Marketing, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, will be critical in delivering effective solutions to our clients.
