About the position

The Account Executive role in Cisco's Global Security Sales Organization is designed for a motivated sales professional with a strong interest in cybersecurity. This position focuses on driving security resiliency for customers and communities by leveraging Cisco's comprehensive security portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing account strategies, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead security account plans and strategies for assigned regions and accounts.
  • Drive double-digit revenue growth through new project identification and creation.
  • Forecast and report activity accurately using SalesForce.com.
  • Identify major projects within large accounts and lead activities to improve product and service revenue.
  • Provide customers and partners with pricing and configurations as needed.
  • Forge high-level relationships within strategic accounts to win incremental business.
  • Partner closely with technical resources to ensure technical excellence in all proposals and exchanges.
  • Collaborate with the Cisco Channel Team and authorized partners on sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of overall sales experience with at least 2 years selling Security solutions.
  • Experience in direct touch sales and working in a matrixed organization with partners.
  • Experience selling network security technologies such as Intrusion Detection, Firewall, VPN, and related technologies.
  • Good knowledge of the Security Market.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive with the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail and competence in managing large geographic plans across multiple accounts.
  • MEDDPICC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel is required.
