About the position

This position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of customers in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sectors within the Hartford, CT & North Haven, CT area. The role focuses on meeting sales targets through client acquisition, relationship management, and providing comprehensive logistics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Searches and develops potential clients to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Makes contact by telephone or email to obtain initial information about potential customers and sets up in-person appointments.
  • Explores customer needs and presents UPS services.
  • Negotiates and prepares comprehensive logistics solutions for customers.
  • Focuses on retaining and penetrating active clients in the portfolio.
  • Completes maintenance, problem resolution, and sales management of the client portfolio.
  • Monitors sales through drafting and updating reports and internal systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or International equivalent - Required
  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Availability to work flexible hours and provide own vehicle for business.
