About the position

The Hospice Account Executive at University of TN Medical Center Hospice is responsible for executing the sales strategy to enhance the company's market share through account development and education of the medical community regarding hospice services. This role emphasizes building relationships with referral sources and understanding customer needs to provide tailored solutions, ultimately aiming to expand the use of hospice services within the healthcare community.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the sales strategy to increase company market share through account development.
  • Educate the medical community on hospice services provided by the company.
  • Build and maintain relationships with target referral sources to support growth strategy.
  • Implement, manage, and document consistent sales activities with multiple contacts in each referral source.
  • Understand customer needs to provide customized solutions and earn new or continued referrals.
  • Expand awareness of hospice services within the healthcare community.
  • Serve as a liaison between referral sources, patients, families, and agencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of prior successful hospice sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively interact with a variety of individuals.
  • Creative thinking and idea generation related to marketing and community education.
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills with a positive and outgoing attitude.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and independent means of transportation.
  • Some understanding of home health/hospice coverage issues.
  • Ability to maximize cost effectiveness in the use of resources.
