About the position

The Hospice Account Executive at Heart of Hospice is responsible for executing sales strategies to enhance the company's market share by developing accounts and educating the medical community about the services offered. This role emphasizes building relationships with referral sources, understanding customer needs, and promoting the use of hospice services within the healthcare community.

Responsibilities

• Execute the sales strategy to increase company market share through account development.
• Build and maintain relationships with target referral sources to support growth strategy.
• Implement, manage, and document consistent sales activities with multiple contacts in each referral source.
• Understand customer needs to provide customized solutions and earn new or continued referrals.
• Expand the healthcare community's use of services by promoting knowledge and awareness of solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between referral sources, patients/families facing end-of-life care, and agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two to three years of prior successful Hospice sales experience preferred.
• Ability to professionally and effectively interact with a variety of individuals.
• Ability to be creative and generate ideas related to marketing and community education.
• Effective and persuasive communication skills with a positive and outgoing attitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Independent means of transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Some understanding of home health/hospice coverage issues.
• Ability to maximize cost-effectiveness in the use of resources.
