About the position

The Account Executive for Oncology Sales at Guardant Health is responsible for promoting and expanding the market presence of the company's liquid biopsy products. This role involves strategic business development, relationship building with healthcare providers, and driving sales initiatives to enhance patient outcomes in cancer care. The position requires a proactive approach to identify new opportunities and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major U.S. cancer centers and clinics.
  • Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clients.
  • Maximize client-bill contracting opportunities and implement laboratory services agreements (LSA's).
  • Collaborate with all sales positions to ensure successful attainment of company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective oncology clients and Guardant Health.
  • Promote and drive compliance with new web-based molecular information tools for all clients.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and provide customer feedback to leadership.
  • Monitor sales performance to ensure objectives are met.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory, including budgets and goal setting.
  • Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments and represent the company culture.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPO's, and large health systems.
  • Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology company.
  • Ability to provide an integrated MolDx solution using next generation sequencing technology.
  • Experience in consultative selling and overcoming objections.
  • Comfortable communicating and selling at the executive level.
  • Understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in oncology and diagnostics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, and targeted agents.
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills.
  • Impeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective utilization of Salesforce.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing preferred.
