About the position

The Sales Representative role at Paychex focuses on selling HCM products and services to clients with 50 or fewer employees, as well as new clients. The primary goal is to expand the client base and increase profits through effective sales strategies and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new clients using referred or self-generated leads through various marketing methods.
  • Meeting with clients to analyze their business needs and how Paychex HCM solutions can address them.
  • Leveraging the Go-to-Market Sales Strategy to present Paychex solutions to key stakeholders based on client preferences for interaction.
  • Scheduling follow-up meetings with prospective clients and preparing offer presentations and quotes using Salesforce CPQ tool.
  • Reviewing sales quotes and agreements with clients, addressing questions, and negotiating to close sales.
  • Scheduling appointments with new and existing clients to upsell and cross-sell HCM solutions.
  • Analyzing customer needs using Salesforce data to determine appropriate products and referring to partners when necessary.
  • Completing and submitting sales-related paperwork, expense reports, and activity reports accurately and on time.
  • Building personal capability through the acquisition of required technical and sales skills to meet sales objectives and performance metrics.
  • Working with Paychex partners to resolve client implementation issues or complaints directed to sales.
  • Attending partner meetings to educate partners on HCM solutions, services, and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Preferred
  • 1 year of experience in inside or outside business-to-business sales.
