About the position

The Account Executive I position at Johnson Controls focuses on securing Planned Service Agreements with both new and existing customers within the security services sector. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert for video and digital services, driving sales through proactive engagement and relationship building. The position emphasizes the importance of reactivating out-of-service locations and selling a comprehensive portfolio of services to enhance customer retention and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Secure Planned Service Agreements with new and existing customers.
  • Reactivate and modify out-of-service locations to recapture revenue.
  • Sell the complete services portfolio to new and existing customers.
  • Work with district sales leaders to manage sales metrics using dashboards and tools.
  • Identify and pursue resale/service opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Utilize data sources like Salesforce and PowerBI to find sales opportunities.
  • Conduct field and phone blitzes to generate leads.
  • Network with property managers and other Centers of Influence.
  • Follow the SPIN Selling Sales Call Process to communicate value propositions.
  • Target existing customers with low service penetration for upselling.
  • Market and introduce JCI digital services to prospects.
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals using approved marketing materials.
  • Process contracts and complete necessary paperwork according to procedures.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule.
  • Available for local travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial sales, preferably in security or technology sales.
