About the position

The Account Executive I at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is responsible for managing and enhancing client relationships for Complex Accounts and Strategic Key Accounts. This role involves strategic oversight of client deliverables, renewals, and upsell activities to achieve financial goals. The Account Executive operates with a high level of autonomy, ensuring customer satisfaction and leading the account client team to focus on service, revenue, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage book of business in pursuit of fiscal revenue targets as set by management
  • Develop and manage the account team annual strategic plan for assigned book of business
  • Ensure high degree of client satisfaction and retention
  • Effectively utilize MedImpact forums and resources to address client needs
  • Provide timely feedback of strategic plan performance to management
  • Provide oversight of projects and client initiatives
  • Maintain the integrity of the annual strategic business plan
  • Manage client renewal process and mitigate organizational risks
  • Lead renewal presentations and ensure preparedness
  • Support the implementation process for assigned clients
  • Negotiate and manage client contracts throughout the lifecycle of the account
  • Build strong internal relationships with account service matrix team
  • Coordinate with MedImpact subject matter experts
  • Organize and lead client business planning meetings and briefings
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Support and assist in sales and prospect presentations
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with client consultants

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the Self-Insured benefits arena, preferably with Employers, TPAs, States/Municipalities, Unions, Hospitals, or private label PBMs
  • Registered Pharmacist in the State of California or equivalent state preferred
  • Insurance sales and underwriting license may be required depending on assigned book of business
  • Outstanding knowledge of the health benefits arena and government prescription programs
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer and analytic skills, including experience with MS Office programs
  • Excellent communication, writing, and public presentation skills
