About the position

The Account Executive I at Johnson Controls is responsible for promoting and selling security services and technology within a designated territory. This role focuses on building relationships, closing new business, and ensuring customer retention while acting as a brand steward for Johnson Controls Security. The position offers opportunities for professional development through extensive training and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Secure profitable sales and upgrades for commercial customers.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify prospects and generate leads through creative techniques.
  • Establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services offered by Johnson Controls Security.
  • Process work orders and complete all necessary paperwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technology sales, preferably in security or IT.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule and travel locally.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security or technology sales industry.
