About the position

The Account Executive II - Fine Art Insurance at Huntington T. Block (HTB) Insurance Agency, Inc., a part of Aon Affinity, plays a crucial role in managing client accounts within the Fine Art Insurance sector. This position is hybrid, allowing for both virtual and in-office work at the New York City office two to three days a week. The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of HTB's relationships with assigned clients, ensuring proficiency in both coverage and process. A key focus of this role is to retain and grow the assigned book of business, which involves conducting risk reviews and analyses of both renewal and new business submissions, gathering data in accordance with established underwriting guidelines. The Account Executive acts as a trusted risk advisor, providing professional advice to help clients make informed insurance-related decisions. In this role, the Account Executive will build and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external underwriters to achieve superior results for clients. They will actively support the business unit's tactical actions and strategic planning to benefit clients' long-term risk interests. Achieving the Renewal Account Policy Retention Goal is essential, which requires a deep understanding of the coverage provided and the client's needs, while adhering to established service delivery standards. The Account Executive will also be responsible for remarketing and brokering existing policies as needed, managing the renewal process, and ensuring timely delivery of renewal solicitations, quotes, certificates of insurance, and other necessary documentation to clients. Additionally, the Account Executive will manage accounts receivables, respond to client payment-related requests, and support the team's annual New Business Sales Goal by participating in new business and account rounding efforts. This position may involve attending industry conventions, conferences, and other networking events, with some travel required. The Account Executive is also tasked with identifying premium growth opportunities and contributing to the research and development of products and endorsements to meet client needs. Overall, this role requires a balance of independent work and collaboration within a team environment, with moderate guidance and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day account management of HTB's relationships with assigned clients.
  • Retain and grow the assigned book of business.
  • Conduct risk review and analysis of renewal and new business submissions.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with clients and underwriters.
  • Ensure accurate risk assessment and documentation.
  • Provide professional advice to clients as a trusted risk advisor.
  • Support the business unit's tactical actions and strategic planning.
  • Achieve Renewal Account Policy Retention Goals.
  • Remarket and broker existing policies as needed.
  • Monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned accounts.
  • Produce and deliver renewal solicitations, quotes, and other documentation to clients in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts receivables and respond to payment-related requests.
  • Participate in new business and account rounding efforts to support sales goals.
  • Attend and network at industry events and conventions as assigned.
  • Identify premium growth opportunities and contribute to product development.

Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years' experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry as an account executive.
  • Experience in Fine Art & Musical Instrument insurance or related Inland Marine Specie line preferred.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with carrier underwriting systems.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  • Experience with MS Office suite products, with proficiency in Excel required.
  • Property & Casualty license required.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Risk management-related studies or business education is a plus.
  • Relevant advanced degree or P&C insurance industry designation such as ARM, CPCU, or CIC is a plus.
