About the position

The Sales Account Executive III is responsible for generating advertising revenue in a dynamic media environment by engaging with established advertising agencies, small business owners, and potential clients. This role focuses on implementing creative strategies to grow revenue, maintaining relationships with clients, and delivering effective sales presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Generates advertising revenue by working with established advertising agencies and small business owners.
  • Implements creative television or digital strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
  • Establishes credible relationships with the local business community.
  • Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.
  • Explains how specific types of advertising will help promote clients' products or services effectively.
  • Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
  • Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing strategies to achieve them.
  • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
