About the position

The Account Executive-Installed Sales at Tyler Technologies is responsible for driving sales of software licenses and solutions to existing customers, managing account plans, and executing territory strategies. This role involves a mix of phone sales, customer engagement, and administrative tasks, with a focus on consultative selling and building relationships with clients in the public safety sector.

Responsibilities

  • Sales of additional software licenses and upgrades to existing solutions.
  • Development and management of an Account Plan for each assigned customer.
  • Execution of a territory plan from a regional perspective.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all administrative obligations.
  • Spend 20% or less of time in the field with customers.
  • Continuous learning about Tyler's customers, products, partnerships, and industry processes.
  • Assist management in developing program-oriented sales offerings and campaigns.
  • Focus on program-oriented selling using phone, email, and webinars.
  • Develop warm calling fundamentals with existing customers.
  • Build early rapport during calls and reinforce customer trust.
  • Define the customer's reason or interest in a change during calls.
  • Summarize benefits of specific Tyler solutions and recommend next steps.

Requirements

  • Phone sales skills.
  • Opportunity identification, qualification, and closure experience.
  • Public safety knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in closing business, face-to-face or via phone.
  • Solution and consultative sales experience.
  • Proficiency with MS CRM and/or Salesforce.
  • Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and provide support on team-related topics.
