About the position

The Account Executive at KMGH, part of The E.W. Scripps Company, is responsible for driving advertising sales through innovative digital and broadcast solutions. This role focuses on building relationships with local businesses and advertising agencies to help them grow through effective advertising strategies. The position offers extensive training and support, along with uncapped earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Sell broadcast television and digital advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
  • Independently prospect, develop, and maintain new business using the Scripps Sales Process.
  • Travel to the office or conduct virtual meetings to collaborate on advertising campaigns.
  • Attend regular client calls to discuss campaign performance and promotional ideas.
  • Use market data to negotiate advertising rates and maximize revenue.
  • Cultivate relationships through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Develop and deliver advertising and marketing campaigns and media plans.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts by optimizing schedules and showcasing performance.
  • Manage a sales funnel within CRM software and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication and needs analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven sales success.
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Broadcast TV experience is a plus.
