About the position

In this position, you will independently prospect and develop new business opportunities, utilizing the Scripps Sales Process to create customized advertising solutions tailored to the needs of your clients. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships, conducting regular performance reviews of advertising campaigns, and optimizing media plans to ensure maximum effectiveness and client satisfaction. You will also be expected to engage in networking activities, cold calling, and leveraging referrals to cultivate new business relationships within the local community. Your success will be supported by extensive training in the Scripps Sales Process, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to helping you achieve your sales goals. Responsibilities

  • Sell broadcast television and digital advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
  • Independently prospect, develop, and maintain new business using the Scripps Sales Process.
  • Travel to the office or conduct virtual meetings to brainstorm advertising campaigns with your team.
  • Attend regular calls with existing clients to discuss campaign performance and future promotions.
  • Use ratings and market trend data to negotiate advertising rates with agencies to maximize revenue.
  • Cultivate new relationships through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Develop and deliver advertising and marketing campaigns and media plans.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts by optimizing schedules and showcasing proof of performance.
  • Effectively manage a sales funnel within the CRM software and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication and needs analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven sales success.
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
