About the position

The Account Executive role at Gartner is a dynamic field sales position focused on client contract value retention and growth. This position involves consulting with C-level executives to develop effective strategies that enhance the value of Gartner's products and services. The Account Executive is responsible for managing major client accounts, achieving a sales quota of over $1 million, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with C-level executives to develop and implement effective enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Manage accounts to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Fulfill a sales quota responsibility of 1M+ in contract value within a territory of major client accounts.
  • Handle forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Requirements

  • 6 - 10 years of external experience in consultative sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in account planning and territory management.
  • Ability to build and maintain C-level and senior-level relationships within midsize and large organizations.
  • Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
  • Proven experience in building excellent client relationships through strategic insights.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process, from prospecting to close.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
