About the position

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for marketing and selling insurance products to clients via telephone. This role focuses on meeting sales targets and ensuring high-quality service to customers, while also promoting customer retention through collaboration with business and marketing units.

Responsibilities

  • Sell insurance products to prospective members/clients through telephone calls.
  • Prospect and produce new life, health, disability, dental, and other product lines for Affinity Group Associations.
  • Meet individual sales and quality of business targets.
  • Review and analyze sales reports and data to monitor progress towards goals and provide input to management.
  • Utilize marketing campaigns and advertising to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Calculate and present quotes, write insurance applications, and follow up on pending transactions.
  • Document sales activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Respond to member/client inquiries and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner.
  • Refer unresolved questions to appropriate resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance products and selling techniques.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 1+ year of sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Insurance sales and/or telemarketing experience preferred.
  • Basic PC skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software.
