About the position

The Ingram Micro Account Executive is responsible for aligning platform capabilities and Ingram Micro offerings with customer needs. This role focuses on building and maintaining strategic relationships with customers to drive market share growth and generate revenue. The Account Executive is recognized as a subject matter expert and plays a vital role in customer engagement across all three categories of Ingram Micro's Customer Engagement Model: Acquire, Retain, and Engage.

Responsibilities

  • Creates strategic plans that enhance reseller go-to-market growth initiatives and strategies.
  • Maintains contact with an account at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.
  • Generates revenue, drives profit, and advances market share by positioning and selling Ingram's products.
  • Manages assigned accounts to create strategic plans that enhance reseller go-to-market growth, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Generates revenue, drives profit, and advances market-share by positioning and selling Ingram's products, programs, and services.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of previous strategic, outside sales, and account management experience (preferably in a related industry), or four years of Technology or distribution experience in a sales or customer service capacity.
  • Strong understanding of strategic selling principles, order management, project management, and operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ingram Micro's solutions, products, services, and value proposition.
  • Proven success in growing and maintaining year-over-year sales results.
  • Skilled in negotiations, closing sales, coaching associates in high-performance culture, and order management.
  • Effectively able to manage profit and loss concepts and forecasting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms to large and small audiences.
