About the position

The Account Executive, Media and Ad Tech Solutions at Microsoft Advertising is responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing customer satisfaction through strategic client relationships and tailored advertising solutions. This role focuses on selling Microsoft media and technology to various partners, including agencies and retail media networks, while ensuring that the Microsoft Advertising story is effectively communicated and valued by clients. The AE will work closely with C-level executives and decision-makers to develop customer plans aimed at increasing revenue and satisfaction, with success measured by adoption rates and customer experience optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by selling Microsoft media and technology solutions to agencies and partners.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Create quality customer plans that outline strategies for revenue and customer satisfaction growth.
  • Execute the sales strategy for Microsoft Advertising's Display, Native, Video, and Gaming solutions.
  • Influence key stakeholders through effective storytelling and emotional intelligence.
  • Lead sales planning with the account team to achieve sales targets and increase budgets.
  • Identify and overcome client objections to ensure deal success.
  • Review and update the sales pipeline, focusing on new opportunities and roadblocks.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media or digital advertising, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales, preferably in programmatic.
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, or similar online advertising company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with 12+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing focused on online media.
  • Master's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field with 10+ years of experience in the same areas.
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at advertising agencies and networks.
  • Quantitative skills and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in digital transformation and systems integration.
