About the position

The Account Executive for Membership Services at Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLC is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with members to ensure continuous membership renewal and achieve sales goals. This role involves high levels of communication through various channels and requires a proactive approach to client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain client relationships that will result in client satisfaction and retention.
  • Create and track mandatory touch-point opportunities for each account/interaction.
  • Implement renewal cycle steps and meet deadlines as instructed.
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound activity to complete established touchpoint campaign deadlines.
  • Act as the main liaison between the San Jose Sharks and the ticket holder, assessing and remediating customer concerns effectively.
  • Oversee execution and implementation of client amenities and services to optimize client experience and maximize sales profitability.
  • Participate as a team member of the Ticket Sales department to maximize customer service, retention efforts, and sales performance.
  • Interact with other Sharks/Arena departments to provide a cooperative, client-oriented focus for all operations.
  • Provide creative input and assertive follow-through to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify sales opportunities by conducting networking and aggressive outreach to the client base.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, business, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, including at least six (6) months of direct experience in the sports industry.
  • Proven track record of sales excellence and development of client relationships in the sports industry.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, coachability, and work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the schedule of events.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Ticketmaster Archtics ticketing platform and CRM systems.
