The Sales position at Zen involves driving the growth of an innovative ed-tech startup focused on transforming how schools find and hire teachers and support staff. The role is centered around initiating contact with school leaders, managing the sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding, and collaborating with various teams to enhance service delivery. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the education sector while being part of a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with school leaders through strategic cold calling and outreach.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to successful onboarding of active customers.
  • Collaborate with account management, operations, and technology teams to enhance efficiency in delivering value to schools.
  • Travel to US states for conferences, events, and school meetings as needed.
  • Embrace the dynamic nature of startup life and be ready to adapt to changing responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of sales experience.
  • Proven track record of performance in a fast-paced, motivated team environment.
  • Strong passion for sales and a growth mindset.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong bias towards action.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting and cold calling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in enterprise sales or sales to K-12 education.
  • Experience in recruitment in another industry.
  • Background in Education and Special Education.
