About the position

The Account Executive/Outside Sales position at Industrial Supply Solutions, Inc. involves generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing customers in the Richmond, VA area. This role requires a blend of sales experience, technical knowledge, and customer service skills to effectively meet customer needs and drive sales growth in the industrial supply sector.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business with new and existing customers
  • Ensure technical requirements for customers are met
  • Assist with on-site troubleshooting of customers' concerns
  • Routinely interact face-to-face with customers to foster strong relationships and build confidence
  • Work with local customers to identify, quote, engineer, and close product and solution sales
  • Provide technical support as required
  • Provide business planning to reach product and sales goals
  • Work with and coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales
  • Completing reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls and leads
  • Maintain appropriate relationship with key suppliers.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Team oriented, outgoing, positive personality with superior problem-solving skills
  • Travel to customers
  • Work experience in Microsoft Office; proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to multitask and manage time well
  • Make quick sound decisions and 'think out of the box' mentality
  • Driver's License, with a good driving record, and dependable transportation
  • Business or related degree a plus

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in aggregate, industrial parts or equipment sales (1 year preferred)
