About the position

The Account Executive at EGA Logistics is responsible for driving sales growth in the Indianapolis/Indiana market. This role involves developing new business, maintaining customer relationships, and collaborating with operations to meet client needs. The position requires a proactive sales leader who can effectively communicate and negotiate with clients while managing accounts through a CRM system.

Responsibilities

  • Develops new business through various prospecting techniques, including cold calling and making appointments.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customer accounts through regular contact, including meals and entertainment.
  • Collaborates with Operations to understand customer needs and resolve issues.
  • Submits pricing requests to supervisors for approval.
  • Creates weekly sales reports and account profiles as needed by the supervisor.
  • Manages housing calls through the CRM system.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of EGA services in all customer interactions.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or two years of sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively present information to customers and management.
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work unsupervised.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales for 2 years (preferred).
