About the position

The Personal Lines Account Executive at Schneiderman Insurance Agency is responsible for managing a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts. This role involves providing comprehensive annual reviews for clients, handling online rating, coordinating claims, and overseeing the work of other Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). The position emphasizes client relationship management and aims to enhance customer satisfaction and retention through high-quality service and proactive account management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts, inclusive of preparing applications to market new and renewal business
  • Address all service and billing requests with clients, underwriters, or brokers
  • Complete account reviews on existing clients to determine if additional insurance should be solicited
  • Actively solicit additional coverage opportunities through rounding existing accounts
  • Provide prompt, efficient and high quality service to customers
  • Process endorsements, policy changes and verify accuracy
  • Prepare Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and Schedules of Insurance and distribute accordingly
  • Oversee Personal Lines Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)
  • Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products
  • Maintain knowledge of new products and services
  • Generate insurance quotes
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Foster strong relationships with customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Stay up-to-date on industry market trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up
  • Driven and goal-oriented individual
  • Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations
  • A firm understanding of personal and commercial lines insurance
  • Must maintain a high attention to detail when working at a varying pace and managing multiple tasks with adjusting priorities
  • Understanding of Excess and Surplus Lines
  • Property and Casualty Licensed required
  • Life, Accident and Health Licensed preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of Property and Casualty experience
