About the position

The Account Executive - Programmatic Sales at Genius Sports is responsible for driving sales of the company's advertising solutions to brands and agencies. This role focuses on expanding programmatic services, managing client relationships, and generating revenue through a robust pipeline of new customer accounts. The position requires a strong understanding of the sports content and advertising ecosystem, along with proven sales skills to meet or exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of new customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and prioritize potential clients for Genius Sports advertising solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients through prospecting, onboarding, execution, and beyond.
  • Create strategic proposals that align with client KPIs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Work closely with internal teams to manage client campaigns and address their needs.
  • Engage in the RFP process to secure new customer business.
  • Stay updated on key industry and digital marketing trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a direct sales role.
  • Previous experience in selling and scaling programmatic ad campaigns at DSP, Agency, or Trading Desk.
  • Established relationships with advertising buying and planning agencies, as well as direct client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the sports content and advertising ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in prospecting, cold calling, winning business, and selling ideas to new accounts.
  • Exceptional organizational, issue resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of the customer's organization and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and other business purposes.
  • Highly self-motivated with professional discipline and excellent follow-through.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving aggressive sales growth targets.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
