About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Executive plays a crucial role in the growth and retention of the commercial lines department by supporting sales and service efforts. This position involves extensive client interaction, acting as a key contact for marketing and quoting strategies, and ensuring the delivery of client service plans. The Account Executive is responsible for strategic planning, relationship development, and providing technical knowledge to win new business and retain key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships beyond the Producers relationship with key decision makers
  • Lead client contact person for marketing/quoting strategy (new/renewal business)
  • Gather information for marketing
  • Strategic planning with Producer based on account dynamics
  • Responsible for Client Service Plan deliverables
  • Provide technical knowledge to help win new business and retain key accounts
  • Schedule and lead client meetings
  • Round accounts
  • Act as communication coordinator for client awareness
  • Keep team apprised of any issues or potential issues
  • Stewardship reporting, if applicable
  • Ensure client is aware of HUB resources (minimum annually)
  • Follow HUB Broker Standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of related experience as an Account Manager in the commercial lines brokerage arena
  • Large Commercial Account Experience required
  • P&C License required or able to obtain within 120 days from hire
  • Advanced professional designation preferred (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU)
