About the position

The Account Executive for Retirement 401(k) Services at Paychex is responsible for selling the company's retirement plan and flexible spending account products. This role focuses on developing new client relationships and expanding the client base to enhance profitability within the Human Resource Services organization. The position requires engaging with decision-makers, understanding client needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive sales and market share growth.

Responsibilities

  • Presents all retirement plan and flexible spending account products and services to decision makers and end users.
  • Leverages the Go-to-Market Sales Strategy to identify customer needs and present Paychex solutions accordingly.
  • Schedules appointments and visits potential and current referral sources, particularly in the financial advisor channel.
  • Prospects for new clients using various methods including telephone, direct mail, and seminars.
  • Analyzes prospects' needs to determine appropriate products and refers to the necessary parties when needed.
  • Expedites resolution of client problems or complaints to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Completes and submits accurate new business paperwork and expense reports by deadlines.
  • Enters prospects, sales, and client notes into Salesforce.com for seamless service.
  • Projects a positive image of the corporation to uphold its reputation.
  • Achieves and develops technical, competitive, and sales skills knowledge to ensure excellence in lead generation and closing.
  • Completes SAFE examinations to remain current on product knowledge and participates in training sessions.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma is required.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant Paychex experience and successful completion of required training programs.
  • 2 years of experience in relevant sales or sales management.
