About the position

The Account Executive for Risk Product Sales focuses on engaging with key stakeholders in financial institutions, particularly banks and credit unions, to understand their risk management needs and connect them with the association's services. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth within the organization, aiming to double the business line's revenue in the next two years. The position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates located near major cities such as Philadelphia, Chicago, or St. Louis.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets for new and existing clients in North America.
  • Understand prospective client needs, industry best practices, and regulatory expectations to translate those needs into business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales process: prospecting, qualification, nurturing, closing, and retention.
  • Research and identify key decision-makers at prospective clients through networking and publicly available information.
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities through network contacts, trade organizations, and the association's contact list.
  • Initiate and conduct sales calls, discovery discussions, and follow-up meetings to generate new opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate proposal responses, developing proposal strategies and key differentiators.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and execute account attraction and retention strategies.
  • Regularly use the CRM (Salesforce) to track conversations, leads, and opportunities, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with the association's risk products and provide feedback to product owners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B complex sales experience within financial, consulting, or advisory settings.
  • Extensive experience selling into large banks, credit unions, or other financial institutions.
  • Strong experience selling to financial services firms with $10 to $100 billion in total assets.
  • Knowledge of risk management products, especially Model Validation tools, is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills, with strong executive presence and business acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
