About the position

The Account Executive for the SMB Team Sales at T-Mobile is responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas by acquiring new accounts within designated geographic territories. This role involves selling T-Mobile's products and services through various methods such as prospecting, cold-calling, and networking. The incumbent will analyze customer needs and apply solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile's offerings, ultimately negotiating and closing business deals. The position allows for hybrid work, requiring the candidate to reside within the Salt Lake City/Davis County territory in Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and referrals through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under the supervision of the sales manager.
  • Identify customer needs and apply solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services.
  • Recommend wireless solutions regarding price plans, data, and other enhanced services, handsets, and accessories.
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers.
  • Work with leadership to develop skills in prospecting, call execution, and relationship management.
  • Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings.
  • Devise creative and effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
  • Fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management, and prospecting tools.
  • Manage sales funnel and generate reporting on sales activities and forecasting.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned by business management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 1+ years of verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably within a commissioned environment (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering superior customer service and attention to detail (Required)
  • Effective negotiating and closing skills (Required)
  • Experience preparing, delivering, and following-up on product/service proposals and pricing quotations (Preferred)

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Experience in a fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking (Required)
