About the position

Core BTS is seeking an Account Executive to join their Sales Team in Southern California. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and expanding the company's market presence, particularly through building relationships with Microsoft account teams and enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will be analytical, data-driven, and possess strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to reaching out to prospects and closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft account teams.
  • Partner with Microsoft during the sales process for major accounts.
  • Identify leads and close sales with enterprise accounts.
  • Understand and demonstrate a technical understanding of Microsoft platform offerings.
  • Qualify sales opportunities, set customer expectations, and handle negotiations.
  • Direct the sales process involving other Core resources, such as Sales Engineers and Project Managers.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Source opportunities and close sales to attain sales goals.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, expanding Core's footprint within existing accounts.
  • Communicate directly with customers, recommending high-level solutions based on their needs.
  • Serve as the liaison between strategic manufacturer partners and Core.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training to improve performance and skills.
  • Set meetings with clients to understand business requirements.
  • Give technical demonstrations of various products and services to prospective customers.

Requirements

  • Previous Microsoft sales experience preferred, with knowledge of Office 365, EMS, Azure, etc.
  • Experience positioning and closing professional services opportunities.
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5 years of experience in a sales or account management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Closed at least 5 seven-figure contracts with new accounts.
  • Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, deliverables, and price.
  • Experience in having high-level conversations with C-level executives.
  • Understanding of cloud computing and its business benefits.
  • Ability to present complex technology in a way non-technical people can understand.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
