About the position

The Account Executive is a pivotal role within the professional sales organization at Custom Computer Specialists, responsible for driving technology sales that align with client business goals. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in IT sales, who thrives in a performance-based environment with uncapped commission potential.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage various client acquisition methods such as social selling, relationships, and lead generation to drive business with new clients.
  • Develop new and repeat business opportunities with assigned accounts.
  • Build relationships with multiple decision makers within accounts, particularly at the C-level.
  • Assist in enhancing Custom's brand recognition with prospects, clients, and manufacturers.
  • Understand and communicate Custom's product portfolio, including consulting services, managed services, and staffing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic manufacturer partners.
  • Obtain and maintain industry sales certifications for all first-tier manufacturers.
  • Set meetings with clients to understand their business requirements.
  • Qualify sales opportunities, set customer expectations, and handle negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and maintain consistent contact with assigned and new accounts.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and forecast accurately.
  • Participate in sales meetings and trainings to improve performance and skills.
  • Provide technical demonstrations of products and services to prospective customers.
  • Stay current with partner registration programs and incentives.
  • Collaborate with Solution Consultants to develop proposals and statements of work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven business-to-business sales experience, ideally in a technology-centric, solution-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a 'Sales Hunter' role focused on new business acquisition.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey SLED (State and Local Government) experience.
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to initiate and maintain business relationships.
  • Effective communication skills to assist in presenting technical solutions and interpreting customer requirements.
  • Leadership qualities to persuade and influence opinions while overcoming challenges.
  • Achievement-oriented and motivated by challenges, consistently delivering and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, deliverables, and pricing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems.
