About the position

The Account Executive for Ticket Sales and Service at the University of Texas at Austin is responsible for managing a portfolio of up to 1000 football season ticket customers. This role involves inbound and outbound ticket sales, customer service, and collaboration with the Longhorn Foundation to enhance donor relations. The position aims to achieve high retention rates for season tickets across various sports while providing exceptional customer service and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve individual book of up to 1000 football season ticket customers through inbound and outbound ticket sales and service.
  • Responsible for renewing, selling, and servicing season ticket accounts.
  • Work closely with the Longhorn Foundation to assist with donor relations and development activities.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service in ticket seating with a focus on season ticket retention.
  • Contact individual season ticket accounts via various communication methods to maintain relationships and provide excellent service.
  • Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual retention and sales goals.
  • Develop new business by contacting past customers and cold-calling new sales leads.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of interns responsible for handling sales efforts.
  • Collaborate on ticket sales plans, deadlines, and marketing strategies.
  • Assist in managing box office operations and ticket sales setup.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service and sales, preferably in a sports or entertainment environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience in managing and training interns or junior staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and operations.
  • Experience in sports marketing or event management.
  • Familiarity with NCAA regulations and compliance.
