About the position

The Account Executive for Cisco's Global Security Sales Organization is a strategic sales role focused on driving revenue growth through the sale of Cisco's security solutions. This position requires a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded individual who is passionate about cybersecurity and capable of building strong relationships with customers and partners. The role involves developing account plans, identifying new project opportunities, and collaborating with technical resources to ensure successful sales outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead security account plans and strategies for assigned regions and accounts.
  • Drive double-digit revenue growth through new project identification and creation.
  • Forecast and report sales activity accurately using SalesForce.com.
  • Identify major projects within large accounts and lead activities to improve product and service revenue.
  • Provide customers and partners with pricing and configurations to meet their needs.
  • Forge high-level relationships within critical strategic accounts to win incremental business.
  • Partner closely with technical resources to ensure technical excellence in all sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the Cisco Channel Team and authorized partners on sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of overall sales experience with at least 3 years selling Security solutions.
  • Experience selling network security technologies such as Intrusion Detection, Firewall, and VPN.
  • Direct touch sales experience combined with working in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven record of over-achievement in sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail and competence in managing large geographic plans.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC sales methodology.
