About the position

The Account Executive at Dodge Construction Network is responsible for driving new sales of the full Dodge product suite to small and midsize businesses in the commercial construction industry. This role focuses on new business development, revenue generation, and targeted growth, requiring the individual to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospect to close. The position is remote, requiring candidates to be located in specific states and involves travel for face-to-face meetings with prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Build and establish a pipeline of new local SMB prospects to close new sales opportunities.
  • Pursue sales leads within assigned territory defined by geographic area.
  • Gain understanding of specialized products, services, and markets.
  • Identify key decision makers and engage with them to introduce DCN products and services.
  • Perform continued follow-up activities and pipeline management to close new business.
  • Partner with Senior Sales personnel to build contacts and identify sales opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and engage with prospects over the phone and internet to close sales.
  • Attend and/or conduct local meet and greet events.
  • Successfully complete daily KPI expectations for prospecting and follow-up activities.
  • Update prospecting pipeline in real time and manage stage progression, anticipated close date, and estimated deal value.
  • Accurately forecast and maintain pipeline in CRM, Salesforce.com.
  • Send proposals and process contracts through company systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably selling SaaS/technology products.
  • Track record of consistently closing new business.
  • Superior personal integrity and ownership of outcomes.
  • Well-versed in solution-based selling and relationship building.
  • Ability to coach prospects on best practices and uncover pain points.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively present information to large groups.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and understanding of CRM and order management functionality.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics for prospecting conversations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Tech-savvy with an aptitude to learn new SaaS products.
