About the position

The Account Executive at WFTS in Tampa, FL, is responsible for driving advertising sales and helping local businesses grow through customized advertising solutions. This role involves selling a variety of marketing solutions, including digital platforms and broadcast television, while leveraging Scripps' high-quality news product and support from an expert team. Responsibilities

  • Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
  • Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and provide customized advertising solutions.
  • Facilitate customer access to a full array of digital marketing options alongside television airtime sales.
  • Independently prospect and secure appointments, perform needs analysis, and develop customized solutions.
  • Present and close sales to develop and maintain new business from traditional and non-traditional advertisers.
  • Negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with advertising agencies to maximize revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing best-in-class customer service and growing accounts through referrals.
  • Perform client services including media avail negotiations, presentation preparation, and revenue collection.
  • Manage a sales funnel using CRM systems and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication and needs analysis.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Generally, 2+ years of proven sales success preferred.
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance required.
